How Pharmacists can Register Additional Qualifications in Ghana

A Pharmacist may register additional qualifications aside from the required qualification needed to register as a Pharmacist. Such qualifications may be diplomas or degrees obtained from any University or institution relevant to Pharmacy practice.

Several employers, including the Ghana Health Service and Ministry of Health often requires higher degrees for the promotion of Pharmacists. In such cases, they request for a confirmation of any relevant additional qualifications a Pharmacist may have obtained from the Council. The Council will only confirm qualifications that the Pharmacist has registered with the Council.

Pharmacists are therefore encouraged to register any additional qualifications they obtain as soon as they obtain them.
